Wedding cakes can vary greatly in price.  The best way to find an affordable wedding cake is to ask friends or coworkers if they know anyone who makes wedding cakes.  Chances are someone you know has a friend or relative who makes cakes either full time or part time.  This can save you quite a bit of money by having someone who works out of their home bake you an inexpensive wedding cake that doesn't look or taste cheap.
